Chicken Broccoli: Submitted by: Elaine Fukui | Date Added: 21 Jul 2021
Listed in: Poultry / Chicken

1 head broccoli
2 pc boneless skinless chicken thigh
2 cups chicken broth
black pepper
cornstarch for slurry

Recommended Instructions

1. Clean broccoli and cut into bite pieces.

2. Cut chicken into cubes.

3. Stir fry broccoli in little oil, sprinkle little garlic salt; then add about 3/4 cup water and cook till broccoli is tender. Drain water.

4. Add little oil in wok (or pan) and stir fry chicken. Once chicken is cooked, add broccoli, chicken broth and cornstarch slurry to thicken sauce. Sprinkle black pepper and add shoyu to give gravy color.

5. You may add noodles* if desired.

*any kind of noodles ... even instant Saimin noodles w/o seasoning. It would also be good over crispy noodles.

To make crispy noodles, cook instant Saimin (do not use seasoning). Drain. Heat heavy pan with oil and add noodles. Cook till underside is crispy then turn over; fry till crispy. Remove from pan and cut noodles into squares.
