Ingredients

2-3 lbs. warabi - washed; cut into 1" lengths
1 sweet onion - sliced
3 med. firm tomatoes - cut into bite-size pcs.
1 block kamabuko (fish cake) - cut into small strips
1 pkg. shiofuku konbu (salted seaweed)
1-2 pkgs. cuttlefish (optional) - cut into smaller strips

Sauce: shoyu & vinegar (to taste)

Recommended Instructions

First, boil water in a deep pot. When water is rapid boiling, carefully place warabi in the water. Turn off the fire and leav it in for about 30 seconds. Drain and immediately run cold tap water to cool warabi down.

In a large mixing bowl, add warabi and all other ingredients, mixing until well combined. Add shoyu and vinegar to your taste. Mix again and refrigerate.
